It’s a battle of the fandoms! After One Direction announced that their new album will be released on Nov. 13, the same day as Justin Bieber’s, Directioners and Beliebers took to Twitter to proclaim their loyalty and declare which one will do better. Who has your vote?!
Beliebers and Directioners were so excited when Justin Bieber, 21, and One Direction announced they are both putting out new music by the end of the year. Easily two of the most anticipated albums of recent history, they’ve become even more intriguing — because they’re coming out on the SAME day! Now that fans know that Nov. 13 is the official release date for both, they’re taking sides!
Justin revealed his Nov. 13 album release date on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Sept. 2. Then, on Sept. 22, both fandoms erupted when Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson announced their album, Made In The A.M., is also dropping Nov. 13! As one fan tweeted, the fandoms had no idea how to process that news!
Let’s hope Nov. 13 is not as extreme as World War III, but it is pretty crazy that musicians with two of the most intense fan bases are going to be putting out new albums on the same day. While some fans jokingly tweeted that they don’t have enough money for both to come out at the same time, many others took part in a poll to vote whose album will do better!
Although we definitely can’t decide ourselves, Directioners have made their excitement known, already racking up more than 3,500 votes for 1D compared to Justin’s 1,800. Considering Made In The A.M. will be One Direction’s last album before their extended break, it’s understandable that Directioners are anxious to hear it — but then again, this is going to be the Biebs’ first album in two years…how does anyone choose between them?!
The vote initiated a fan feud in a massive thread of comments, including “Justin is King 1d are trash,” and “lmao it will be justins first album not to be #1 poor him 1D will block him.” Who knows how telling the vote actually is, but one thing is for sure: Directioners and Beliebers are taking a stand for their men!
HollywoodLifers, whose album do you think will sell better? Are you more excited for one over the other? Vote in our poll and tell us below!
