This is absolutely crazy. Azealia Banks got into a seriously intense altercation on a plane and she got so heated that she began screaming and swearing at a flight attendant, before things got physical. Watch the wild– and not suitable for work– video.
Azalea Banks, 24, was making her way off of a flight from New York City to Los Angeles very early on Sept. 22 when she completely lost it on a flight attendant. She was attempting to de-board the plane and, as seen in this footage from the incident, the flight attendant wouldn’t allow her to do so. She attempts to grab her luggage and make her way off the aircraft, before the employee literally grabs her bag, causing Azealia to start cursing and ultimately caused her to get physical. Below, we have video from the altercation, plus Azealia’s response!
The video begins as the exchange between Azealia and the flight attendant is already underway, so it’s unclear exactly what has set the rapper off or gotten her into trouble in the first place. However, an eyewitness has filled in some of the blanks.
The Delta flight arrived at LAX a little before 1 AM, and Azealia, who had been sitting in the plane’s sixth row, darted toward the doors, a source told TMZ, who obtained the video. A French couple three rows ahead of her blocked her way while they were grabbing their luggage, and when Azealia reportedly tried to squeeze past them, the man put his hand out.
That is when Azealia reportedly began to lose it, and she spit in the man’s face, according to the eyewitness. The flight attendant then allegedly got involved, grabbing Azealia’s bag which began a bag tug-of-war. At that point, the video begins, and we see Azealia swear at the flight attendant before calling him a “f–king f—ot,” which is of course a homophobic slur.
Police were reportedly called and met Azealia at baggage claim, however, the French couple allegedly did not want to press charges. The video is below.
Later in the day, Azealia took to Twitter to respond to the reports. “Ok so I get hit in the face by a man and no one cares. They only hear what I called the man who was blocking my exit” Azealia wrote on her Twitter account. “I don’t care. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I don’t tolerate bitchassness and I don’t tolerate men putting their hands on me.”
What do you think of the video? Was Azealia right to react that way?
