Chris Brown isn’t letting Drake get away with dissing him and Karrueche Tran! The singer took to Instagram to share his opinion about ‘Live From The Gutter,’ and slammed Drake for lying and using Chris and Karrueche’s high-profile relationship to get people to talk about his music.
The war is ON between Chris Brown, 26, and Drake, 28. The two have never been able to squash their beef, and it’s been reignited thanks to a song on the Canadian rapper’s new mixtape, which references Chris’ ex, Karrueche Tran. Now, the “Loyal” singer has issued a response…and he’s pissed.
For the most part, it seems like Chris is trying his best to avoid drama these days, and is instead focusing on being the best dad he can to his little girl, Royalty. So it only made sense that he used a photo of himself with the 1-year-old to share his message.
“I’m too blessed for the bullshit,” he wrote. “People who have had to sit a watch me for years do me and watch their females actually love me always show their insecurities. I embrace anything God has given me. It’s bigger than this music shit. I’m content with being Chris Brown. A lot of people are unhappy and a lot of these artist lie to the fans or rely on hype to gain substance. You n***as bore me. Ima keep being who God made me to be!” He dug the knife just a bit deeper, too, by adding the hashtag #othersbarelyholdanote.
Okay, so let’s break this down. The post came just hours after Drake released his new album with Future, in which he raps, “This for my n***as on that bulls**t and that nonsense, this for my dogs who go Karrueche with the chopsticks” on the track “Live From the Gutter.” In the verse, Drake appears to be bringing up all the guys who’ve been with Karrueche, and Chris — whose latest album you can buy here — is obviously the most notable man from her past.
From the 26-year-old’s response, it seems he is accusing his longtime nemesis (remember, they both have history with Rihanna) of using the hype surrounding his and Kae’s relationship to get people to listen to his songs. If that’s true, then the same could be said for the Nicki Minaj diss he spits out on another song — hey, we are all talking about it!
