The American team landed in England a week ago to prep for the match. The week before that they played a warm-up match against Australia at Chicago’s Soldier Field. The U.S. team will be meeting Samoa for the first time after they lost to the Saracens 21-16 in the team’s first match of the 2015 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup back on July 19. Will the Eagles come out victorious this time?

The United States team has a big challenge ahead with the Samoans known for strong play in the breakdown and free-flowing passing. After their loss to Samoa in July, Coach Mike Tolkin said, “I think both teams will have some frantic energy about them with this being the opening of the World Cup. It will come down to whomever can calm down and be more composed after the first part of the match.”
