Don’t get us wrong, we love Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood.’ However, Ryan Adams just blew us away with his rendition of the song. It’s just one song off his cover of Taylor’s entire ‘1989’ album. Click to LISTEN!
This is a version of “Bad Blood” we never thought we’d hear. Taylor Swift’s pop anthem has been the catchiest song of the summer, but singer Ryan Adams, 40, just took the song and made it super moody. And, guess what? It’s awesome. Listen to his rendition now and be amazed. It’ll make you anxious to hear his 1989 cover album, which will be released on Sept. 21!
Our favorite new album may just be an album that’s already been released. Ryan is covering every song on Taylor’s 1989 album and will be releasing his version of the album online. “Bad Blood” is the first cover song that’s been released, and it’s downright epic. Ryan croons to the song that became the song of 2015. He turns “Bad Blood” into a soulful yet emotional ballad. The acoustic version of “Bad Blood” is on point, Ryan. Bravo.
Honestly, this makes us see “Bad Blood” in a totally different light. The lyrics are now even more serious than ever before. Now we’re wishing Taylor and Ryan would sing this acoustic version together.
But how does Taylor feel about this cover album? Well, like the rest of us, she’s super excited about it. On Sept. 17, Taylor tweeted: “Ryan’s music helped shape my songwriting. This is surreal and dreamlike.” As usual, Tay is just the best.
Another big question we have is: Will Ryan released a music video for “Bad Blood?” We hope so! Ryan’s 1989 cover album will be released on Sept. 21.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Ryan’s version of “Bad Blood?” Do you love it? Let us know!
