The two may have only been together for a few months, but that didn’t stop Rick from popping the question to Lira on Sept. 17. The rapper reportedly took Lira to Rafaello & Co. jewelry store in New York City, where he presented her with an 11-carat emerald-cut diamond ring, along with a wedding band crafted from six-carat diamonds, TMZ reports. Following the proposal, the newly engaged couple reportedly celebrated with a chicken satay dinner at Red Stixs restaurant.

Rick’s future wife couldn’t wait to show off her new sparkler, taking to Snapchat to announce the exciting news along with photos of her ring. “Thanks @rafaelloandco for making everything EXTRA special !” the 22-year-old model shared alongside a pic of her huge rock and other diamond-encrusted jewelry. She then followed that up with a separate video of her sparkling ring resting the on top of Rick’s hand.
The exciting news comes just a couple months after Rick’s string of run-ins with the law. The trouble started when the “Super High” rapper was pulled over in Fayette County, Georgia on June 10 for a window tint violation. However, when Rick was asked to step out of his car, police claimed he stunk like weed, so they charged him with a misdemeanor marijuana charge. The drama continued when Rick was the apprehended again in Georgia on June 24, and charged with counts of kidnapping and assault. Cops arrived at the rapper’s residence in the early morning and arrested him for an incident in which he allegedly “pistol-whipped” a man working on his home earlier that month. Lira was “by his [Rick’s] side” throughout his arrest, TMZ reports. Perhaps that’s why he was so eager to lock things down.
