Kanye West is coming under fire for his Yeezy Season 2 for Adidas line because as Kim puts it, he separated models based on ‘light,’ ‘medium,’ and ‘dark’ skins tones to create a gradient affect. But do you think this was wrong of him to do?
Kanye West‘s fashion show had two reactions, you either loved it or loathed it. But nonetheless, he’s making headlines from everything to North West‘s temper tantrum in the front row, to Ice T calling his line “slave gear” but the most recent qualms people have with the show, is that Kanye did indeed separate models based on their skin color and Kim affirms this in a series of Instagram pics she posted on Sept. 18. Kim posted several pics from Kanye’s show, three of them had pics of the models grouped together by their skin tone with the captions: “Light #Yeezy,” “Medium #Yeezy” “Dark #Yeezy.” For those of you that didn’t watch the live stream of the show, the models were called out to the runway bootcamp style in groups of four and marched their way out and stood in their specific color block. Ice T, who did not attend the show but clearly saw pics, tweeted: “Kanye’s fashion show stuff looks like future Slave gear to me … Just sayin.”
Another harsh critic is Kanye’s ex, Amber Rose, 31, who we’ve learned hates Kanye’s collection. “Amber feels bad for everyone who attended what she thinks was a disaster of a show. She especially feels awful for the models that had to wear that nonsense. She thinks he should take those clothes and open up a car wash. That oversized attire and itchy-looking fabric look like they’d be perfect for drying off cars!” Yikes!
HollywoodLifers, do you think it was wrong of Kanye to separate the models based on their skin color?
