Take him out to the ball game! Former President Jimmy Carter, 90, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, had a fun Thursday night out with wife Rosalynn Carter, 88, on Sept. 17 to watch the Atlanta Braves take on Toronto Blue Jays. The known Braves fan and his lovely lady also got caught on the Kiss Cam. They’ve been married for nearly 70 years, and they’re still keeping their romance alive!
The Kiss Cam is notorious at sporting events, but the Kiss Cam at the Atlanta Braves game on Sept. 17 featured an appearance from a former Commander-in-Chief! The camera panned to various couples at the game, catching a sweet smooch on camera, and stopped on Jimmy and Rosalynn.
Jimmy’s not one to let an opportunity like this get away. He hugged Rosalynn and gave her the sweetest kiss ever. Jimmy broke away from the kiss and looked so happy and healthy. This is basically the cutest thing we’ve ever seen.
The former President revealed to the world back in Aug. 2015 that he had cancer. The cancer was discovered after liver surgery. Four spots of melanoma were found on his brain, and Jimmy has since started radiation treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
Jimmy isn’t giving up hope, despite his diagnosis. “I’m ready for anything and looking forward to a new adventure,” Jimmy said. He also said he’s “had a wonderful life” that has been full of “thousands of friends.” What a man. Stay strong, Jimmy!
