The young toddler who made headlines when her body was found dead in a plastic bag along a shoreline in Massachusetts, has been identified. Bella Bond was only 3-years-old at the time of her tragic death. So awful.
The big break in the case came after a search warrant was executed at a Maxwell Street home in Boston, according to ABC News. Currently, the identity of the girl has not yet been officially released, pending positive identification from the State Medical Examiner.
Bella’s mother and her boyfriend are reportedly being questioned by police. They are not under arrest. As for the cause of her death, a spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office stated the “investigation remains very active.”
Bella’s body was found inside a trash bag by a woman who was walking her dog on Deer Island on June 25. Police released a computer-generated image of the girl that was shared on social media more than 50 million times.
A Facebook page shows photos of the girl, who often wore her hair in a pigtail, loved “Hello Kitty” according to the outlet. There’s also a video on Facebook, showing her spraying Bella in Silly String during a surprise second birthday celebration.
Our thoughts are with this sweet innocent baby girl.
