Anne Bowen debuted her new collection, NVII, during NYFW and we love the edgy, cool vibe. We could think of a few of our fave celebs that would look great in this collection, don’t you think?
On the very last day of New York Fashion week, Sept. 17, was the NVII by Anne Bowen Fashion Show, held at Tao Downtown Restaurant, and it was fabulous. Nomad VII by Anne Bowen debuted “An Inspired Collection for Life,” and it is such a cool collection. Check it all out here.
The show featured a live musical performance by Madness and the Film and all of the runway models were styled by celeb stylist, Lisa Cera.
The collection is all about, “the grit, gravel, concrete, steel tonnage and human density of the urban city.”
“Anne Bowen manifests her inner warrior and imparts her global influences. Icons of NVII, such as the North Star designed with only 4 points, represent the navigating star for all nomads, and the symbolic number VII, truth and the seeker of knowledge.” We think it is so cool how much meaning goes into this collection, it makes you appreciate the clothing more.
The line features, oversized hooded vests “embellished with gears and clock parts having jagged edges sewn on almost as armor. T-shirts with bands and cutouts appear as if they are from another time. Industrial metal chain is woven to raw, coarse twine into moto jackets, dresses and tops while juxtaposed against the sheerest, delicate baby sea island cotton voile and knit on handkerchief hem dresses.” Is it just us, or could you not picture Rita Ora, 24, and Kristen Stewart, 25, in this collection.
“NVII the brand, is about a spirit, an energy and a consciousness both universal and individual. The crossing of cultures, boundaries, lines and universal acceptance is embedded into the fabric of the designs.”
Wow, how amazing is this meaningful, cool, edgy collection? Would you SHOP for it?
