Can you say gorgeous?! The Marchesa Spring 2016 collection was spell-binding. Beautiful, ethereal gowns came down the runway as a star-studded front row took in the show — and you can see some of the best looks right here before they make their way to the red carpet.
Marchesa’s Spring 2016 show felt like stepping into an enchanted forest full of gorgeous gowns. From feathers to petals, caged corsets and exquisite embroidery, the collection was captivating as it came down the runway during New York Fashion Week. Voluminous structured trains, bow-detailing and bare backs made the looks gorgeous from each and every angle — and with so many stunning silhouettes, you know it’s only a matter of time before these dresses shine on the red carpet.
The elegant show took place at the St. Regis Hotel during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 16, as Jennifer Hudson, Julianne Hough, Bella Thorne, Alyssa Milano, Christina Hendricks, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Holt and Bette Midler took in the show from the front row.
The inspiration behind the line was a botanical menagerie of caged birds and cascading florals under a captivating midnight sky, which totally came alive on the runway. Feathered detailing on dresses and bold, black clips in the model’s hair had such a Black Swan vibe. A pretty pink lip and a polished bun completed the look and complimented the intricate designs.
From crystal embellishments to embroidery and tonal shading, the detailing on the dreamy dresses was out of this world as the enchanted looks came to life. Marchesa is always a favorite among the celeb set, especially during award season — and all of the looks were begging for a major red carpet moment. I could totally see Elizabeth Banks in a blush pink gown, while a feathered frock would be perfect for Blake Lively. Bella, Julianne and Jennifer Hudson, who were all sitting in the front row, would also look amazing in the designs.
