We can barely write this story, as tears are streaming down our faces. After four seasons, Howard Stern said goodbye to ‘America’s Got Talent’ on the Season 10 finale Sept. 16. Watch his emotional sendoff here!

Howard Stern, 61, wrapped up his time on America’s Got Talent with an emotional farewell. Watch his goodbye to the show and love letter to New York City here!

“Four years ago, when I started on AGT, my thought was, ‘It would be really cool to be a judge cause I think I have something to offer.’ If I had any dream about this, it was that I could take someone who was struggling and seriously give advice. I was told over and over again that I had no talent. I was in college radio. No one was banking on me. I sent a copy of my show to my Father. My father wrote me back a five page letter, and it was brutally honest. These are the things you sometimes say, ‘Gee, did he have to be so harsh like that?’ It wasn’t harsh. It was out of love,” Howard starts saying in the video above.

Howard must have had a lot of love for the contestants over the years because he was always considered the “harsh” judge. But maybe he wasn’t being harsh. Perhaps it was “out of love.”

We’re definitely going to miss Howard. To watch his full goodbye video, which includes a love letter to New York City, check it out above!
