Drake seemed happy sitting front row at Serena Williams’ HSN NYFW show on Sept. 15 but it turns out he was absolutely furious and he caused a major scene after the event.
Don’t mess with Drake! The rapper was reportedly so angry that the deejay played the wrong version of his track, “Back to Back,” during his girlfriend, Serena William‘s HSN Signature Statement show that he was seen screaming at the deejay after despite the fact that famous faces, Gigi Hadid and Vogue‘s Anna Wintour were in attendance.
First Drake, 28, went backstage to tell Serena, 33, he was proud of her but then he freaked out! “All of a sudden he came busting out from the backstage into the runway area and approached the DJ,” claims Page Six. “There was an animated discussion and Drake was upset. The DJ kept raising his arms as if to say, ‘It wasn’t my fault.’” It turns out Drake was upset because the version that was played had tons of curse words and he was embarrased that Anna Wintour was there and heard the unclean song. “They didn’t want Anna Wintour to be horrified sitting there with curse words playing.” The deejay was said to be very upset and said: “I played the mix I was given. This is what they gave me.” Yikes!
The duo have been on and off since 2011 and have been together nonstop. Most recently Drake was spotted at Serena’s US Open game where she lost to Roberta Vinci. We told you that our source told us that Drake and Serena are very serious this go around: “Serena and Drake have been on a slow burn for a few months now. They have known each other for years and there has always been a spark but the timing was off. Drake was always saying to her, ‘When are we going out?’ Serena never seriously thought Drake was interested in her like that though. He’s such a player and a flirt, she thought he was just playing games. But when he really started pursuing her she thought ‘why not?’ Serena is concerned that Drake is only after her to get another notch on his belt. But she’s throwing caution into the wind.”
HollywoodLifers, do you think it was unprofessional for Drake to get upset?
