The Honest Company’s new beauty products come after the company received quite a bit of backlash over their sunscreen product. Unfortunately over the summer, parents complained that the product didn’t work as well as it was supposed to, even when they followed the application instructions on the bottle. Consumers shared photos of children and adults alike with painful sunburns all over their bodies after using the product, some even questioned the brand’s efficacy. As a result of their complaints, Jessica released a statement in response to their complaints.
Jessica Defends Honest Company Against Critics
The 34-year-old released a statement with her co-founder and said, “Protecting our loved ones and yours is the reason we founded The Honest Company. As parents, it pains us to hear that anyone has had a negative experience with our Sunscreen. We develop and use Honest Sunscreen to protect our own children — Honor, Haven, Luke, Evie, and Poppy — at the park, in the pool, outside, every day. As with everything we do, we take sun protection seriously here at Honest.” Read the rest of her statement here.
