Each week seems to get tougher and tougher on ‘Face off,’ and this week just jumped ahead in a really big way. This week they won’t have one makeup, or two — but three. Watch the dramatic moment McKenzie breaks the news to the artists.
Hope you got your rest, makeup artists, because that’s a lot of models. In this exclusive sneak peek of the September 15 episode of SyFy’s Face Off, McKenzie Westmore breaks the shocking focus challenge assignment to the group, who seem a little overwhelmed by all the models in the room — possibly three times as many as usual.
“There are more models than there have ever been in this room on Face Off,” Stevie Calabrese, 26, says in the sneak peek. “This is terrifying!”
“In the makeup industry, artists are responsible not just for featured makeups, but background characters as well,” McKenzie explains, surrounded by models. “For the final stage of The Gauntlet, you’ll each be creating one hero — a featured makeup, and two background makeups.” Yes, that’s three total makeups! We know freom watching week after week that one make up is time consuming and with the small window they have, super challenging.
“Seriously? This is a lot of work to do,” Jasmine Ringo says after the announcement is made. “I’m in seventh place, and I’m more nervous than I’ve ever been this entire time on Face Off.”
While we can assume that there will be a lot more time given to the contestants this time around, it’s still not going to be easy. And with only nine contestants left in the game, the pressure is always on. Will judges Glenn Hetrick, Ve Neill and Neville Page be tougher on them or go easy? Will Michael Westmore help those who can’t get out of their own heads. I guess we’ll have to see on Tuesday, Sept 15 at 9PM on SyFy!
