Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly making her transition legal! The ‘I Am Cait’ star has reportedly filed the documents to formally declare her a woman and legally change her name. But, Cait allegedly fears that once she gives all the necessary information, she’ll face an increase of physical threats!
Way to go, Caitlyn Jenner! The 65-year-old Olympian is reportedly getting all her paperwork in order, making her new identity completely legal in the eyes of the law. But the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star allegedly fears that once she submits the documents to make her change official, it will lead to her getting attacked!
Caitlyn reportedly filed the documents in L.A. County Superior Court on Sept. 15 to have her officially declared as a woman, reports TMZ. Caitlyn is reportedly asking for an official name change as well as a gender change. But, she is allegedly afraid of giving up all the information needed to make her new identity legal because she’s reportedly received physical threats!
The I Am Cait star has reportedly received threats of harm, a source tells TMZ. Oh no! That’s horrible! Cait is also allegedly afraid of giving up all her personal info, such as medical history, because it might lead to more threats against her.
In order to avoid any more terrifying threats, Cait is reportedly asking that the judge seal her private information so that no one has access to it. We hope the judge complies with this request. Caitlyn and other trans people shouldn’t have to fear for their lives when they change their name and genders.
Caitlyn’s reported request to legally change her name comes after she held her renaming ceremony. The intimate event was filmed for the finale of I Am Cait. The event saw Caitlyn affirm her identity in front of her members of the LGBTQ community. While Candis Cayne and Boy George were there, none of her family members attended — and that was fine with Caitlyn!
“Everyone [in her family] has schedules that are all over the place that it never would have worked to get everyone together at the right time,” an insider EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “It just was better to have none of the family there instead of some so nobody was upset from being omitted in the celebration.”
Are you glad that Caitlyn is going ahead with her new life, HollywoodLifers? Should the judge grant her reported request and keep all her information sealed?
