We’re currently going bonkers, as Bryan Cranston recently revealed he’s totally interested in a ‘Malcolm In The Middle’ reboot series. Find out why the ‘Breaking Bad’ star said he’d love to play Hal Wilkerson again.
Bryan Cranston, 59, is up for more Malcolm In The Middle, almost 10 years after the series came to a close on Fox. The actor may now be more known for his role as Walter White on AMC’s Breaking Bad, but for seven seasons, Bryan starred as Hal Wilkerson alongside Frankie Muniz. And when asked which series of his he’d love to revisit, Bryan said he’d have the most fun starring in a reboot of Malcolm. Find out why!
“It’s been 10 years since we went off the air and it’d be fun to pick up that guy’s clothes again and be fun and sweet and adorable and hapless and clueless and afraid of everything,” Bryan told Entertainment Tonight Canada. And this comes just one week after Frankie said he’d also be interested in reviving the series. He even has a title in mind: Malcolm in the Mid-life Crisis.
How fun would “Malcolm In The Mid-life Crisis” be? I wonder what Malcolm and his family would be up to now!

Unfortunately, Bryan’s not interested in playing Walter White again — not even on Breaking Bad‘s prequel series, Better Call Saul. “I don’t have a yearning to go back into [Breaking Bad‘s] world because we just covered it completely, I think,” he said.
Malcolm in the Middle focused on Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), struggling through life while living with his manic family. The series also starred Jane Kaczmarek, Justin Berfield, Erik Per Sullivan, and Christopher Masterson.
