Kristen Stewart is opening up about her very first love, dishing on how she’s looked to that time in her life for inspiration in her latest dramatic role. Is she referring to Robert Pattinson?
In Kristen Stewart‘s newest film, Equals, she plays a young woman who, for supernatural reasons, is experiencing emotions for the very first time. In order to access the sensation of new-found feelings, the 25-year-old went back to the first time she was ever in love, and we have to wonder whether that was with her ex, Robert Pattinson, 29.
“I definitely wear my heart on my sleeve,” Kristen told E! Online at the Toronto International Film Festival about her emotional openness. “Sometimes that provides a little bit of a tougher road, but for me it’s definitely more preferable.”
Of course, accessing such a sensitive subject isn’t easy, but per Kristen, it’s the only way to get to a place of authenticity. “The work that I’m most interested in, it always comes from a real place,” she said. “You take every first you ever had, and you bottle it up in a moment and the devastating effect is something like anyone who has fallen in love at a young age has felt.”
Kristen and Rob dated back when they first met filming Twilight, and at the time, Kristen was only 18. While that age would certainly fall under the umbrella of “young love,” Kristen may not have been talking about Rob. Actually, her very first serious boyfriend was Michael Angarano, whom she dated for four years before moving on to Rob in 2009.
Hm. Regardless of whom Kristen is referring to, it’s clear that all of her previous relationships are a big part of her present self. “Every day that’s led up to this day has made me who I am,” she added. “Everything I have, I have put into this movie.”
What do you guys think? Was Kristen talking about Rob, Michael or someone else?
