Becky G Reveals ‘Empire’ Season 2 Scoop: They Call Me ‘Baby Cookie’

Cookie’s got a mini-me! Becky G will guest-starring on one of the most popular shows of TV, ‘Empire,’ and her character is just fierce as Cookie Lyon herself! Plus, has more EXCLUSIVE details. You know you want to check out these season 2 spoilers!

There are already so many feisty ladies on Empire, and Becky G, 18, is just adding one more to the list. The singer will be a guest star on the highly-anticipated show, and she’s spilling scoop on her season 2 role! Her character is so sassy that the cast started calling her “baby Cookie!” also has EXCLUSIVE details on her role!

“Well, I play Valentina, and let’s just put it this way: they were calling me baby Cookie on set,” Becky told Entertainment Weekly. “I’m feisty. Like, the Becky G that’s right here and sweet and excited? Valentina is a totally different person.”

“It was so different to play like a mean girl, I guess you could say,” Becky G told “I think my fans will be excited to see me in a new light.”

Whoa. We are so ready. Like with any Empire character, expect Becky G to bring the drama. “There’s a lot of drama,” she revealed to EW. “In these next few episodes — and even stuff that I’m not going to be in but I was reading in the script — I was like, ‘I can’t believe this is going to go down. Everybody’s going to be so surprised.’ But yeah, especially my scenes, for sure.”

She will be singing on the show, but she’s going to have a totally different persona when she grabs the mic. Will she be going solo? Or could she have an awesome duet with Jamal, Hakeem or Tiana? Time will tell!

Becky G is just one of a number of guest stars heading to Empire in season two. Mariah Carey, Vivica A. Fox, Ludacris, Marisa Tomei, Chris Rock and more are set to appear.

Empire returns Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
