Hello, Hawkman and Hawkgirl! ‘DC’s Legend of Tomorrow’ won’t premiere until midseason, but we’re already getting our first glimpse of the new heroes. Check out the first photo!

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is already gearing up to be one epic ride. The show has released the very first photo of Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée) on the Arrow/The Flash spin-off. The heroes are in costume, and they look AMAZING!

Hawkman and Hawkgirl’s powers are derived from the ancient Egyptian hawk god, Horus. Hawkman — also known as Carter Hall — is a reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is destined to be reborn with his soulmate, Hawkgirl, a.k.a. Kendra Saunders. They both become winged warriors.

In the photo, both Hawkman and Hawkgirl are wearing helmets, along with incredible costumes. Hawkman’s got a spiked mace, so you know he can do some damage. On the new CW show, Hawkgirl will begin to learn she’s been reincarnated and that wings spread out of her back when she gets ruffled, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Hawkman and Hawkgirl will make their big CW debut in an Arrow and The Flash crossover episode in the fall. Kendra made her first appearance in season one finale of The Flash.

The Hawk duo will be fighting alongside both heroes and villains, including Atom (Brandon Routh), Firestorm (Victor Garber), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), to defeat Vandal Savage. The heroes and villains were brought together by Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill).

The CW is sticking with its superhero trend, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are so excited about the show. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere midseason.
