Chris Brown, you were terrified that the judge in your custody case would take your baby daughter, Royalty, away. But instead, you won joint custody. Now’s your chance to be the most devoted dad.
Chris Brown, we heard through an insider that you were dreading your Sept. 11 day in court to establish Royalty‘s paternity and then make custody and support arrangements. You were so worried that the judge would toss out your DNA test, proving your paternity and award full custody to Nia Guzman. Nia has been making it increasingly difficult for you to see Royalty, 16 months, and demanded $15,000 a month in child support.
“Chris hates being in court. He’s had bad luck in front of judges his entire life. He’s nervous over the thought of him losing Royalty in this paternity hearing,” the insider told Hollywoodlife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Not being able to see her would rip his heart out. That would make him have an epic meltdown.” Well, Chris, fortunately you won’t have to have that meltdown. The judge, for once, saw things your way. Clearly, he felt that Royalty would only benefit from having two loving parents in her life.
And now, you are “shocked” and “happy” to get joint custody. You and Nia, 32, will each have Royalty for four days in a row. “It’s a great day for Chris. He has no hard feelings towards Nia. All he wants to do is be a father to Royalty and love her to bits and pieces. And now, he finally gets to do so.” Chris, we’re so happy for you. Your lawyer, Mark Geragos, just posted an adorable photo of you cuddling Royalty after court with the hashtag #prouddad. Apparently, your custody starts as of now.
Chris Brown: You Need To Be Ready To Do The Hard Work Of Being A Parent
But Chris, now the hard work of being an involved, everyday dad begins. Now, you need to give serious thought to the responsibility of raising Royalty. She needs to be played with, read to, taken to the park and on walks. She needs playdates, swimming lessons and lots of cuddling and kisses. We’ve heard that you love the basic daddy duties of feeding, bathing and changing Royalty’s diapers and that’s good, because she’ll be needing all of that every single day.
And let’s not forget discipline and consistency. She’ll need both a consistent schedule and constant messages about what’s right and wrong. And no matter how much you want to do it, you can’t spoil her like crazy. You want your daughter to grow up with good values, appreciating all that she has in life. We’re so happy that you get such joy out of raising your daughter. “Watching her grow up right before his very eyes, blows his mind,” another insider told Hollywoodlife.com of the 26-year-old singer. “He never imagined that a little baby girl could make him feel like the biggest man on Earth.” Chris, you must be on cloud nine now with Royalty in your arms. Enjoy these moments and then get down to the business of being the absolute best dad you can be.
Do you agree, HollywoodLifers — do you think Chris can do the hard work of being a great dad? Let me know.
