The Pantone Color Institue released the color of spring and it is officially, rose quartz! This pretty pink hue has been spotted on the runway and in stores, and we love it! You can try 10 different ways to rock the pretty shade.

The Pantone Color Institute, along with the executive director, Leatrice Eiseman, has released the number one color for men and women for spring and it is…drumroll please… Rose Quartz! We can’t say that this color shocked us, considering we have seen an abundance of this color on runways and even everyday celebs wearing it around town. We’ve put together 10 different ways you can rock this pretty pink!

Even though rose quartz is the winning hue, the other four colors that were in the top five were: Peach Echo, Serenity, Snorkel Blue and Buttercup. As for the runner-ups of the rest of the top 10: aqua Limpet Shell, Lilac Gray, warm red Fiesta, Iced Coffee and Green Flash.

Leatrice goes into detail, to our sister site, WWD, on why these specific colors won: “The fact that technology has gotten so overwhelming and so 24/7 has really created a great part of the need for these comforting, softer colors. Technology plays a huge part in people feeling like they want to stop the world and get off. At the same time, we can’t deny that global doors are opening — as in Cuba and other south-of-the-border places.”

She continues to talk about technology and art and how the two collide to create something beautiful in fashion. “Bright and abstract art has become more of a mainstream thing. At one point in time, we would talk about art from a very elitist standpoint and it was hard to bring the world of art into a fashion forecast. But today people have accessibility. They can go online and don’t have to go a museum.”

Percentage-wise rose quartz beats out every other color and Leatrice explains why:

1. Rose Quartz Percentage of designers who used this color: 22.55
“This really is a beautiful pink that will radiate well on the skin for women as well as men. Women can always be helped along by cosmetics, but guys have to rely on the colors they’re wearing to sometimes make them look a little healthier.”

We absolutely love this color and you can shop for it in a ton of different ways. Try these pretty products from Amazon: Kendra Scott Signature Elisa Pendant Necklace, MICHAEL KORS Selma Leather Medium Zip Satchel, and BCBGMAXAZRIA Women’s Printed Pleated Front Blouse.
