Sam Smith landed the prestigious honor of singing the theme to the next James Bond film, but is he playing another role in ‘Spectre?’ If his Instagram is any indication, the British singer might have a sexy new part in the franchise!
Looking good, Sam Smith! The 23-year-old crooner posted a risqué photo to his Instagram account on Tuesday, September 8, letting the world know that he’s going to be the next Bond girl, on top of singing the Spectre theme! Ooh la la!
“Practising to be the best Bond girl I can be,” Sam captioned his Instagram. Okay, Sam is definitely joking, but he’s giving such good face in his pic that he could totally pull it off! Just look at that pose: sprawled out in bed, wrapped in sheets and covered with a fur blanket.
He’s looking as gorgeous as any of the past femme fatales to steal Bond’s heart. You know, isn’t it about time that 007 has a Bond guy? Someone page Daniel Craig ASAP! We’re seeing a big hit for Spectre right in front of us!
Sam’s vision for the ‘Spectre’ theme
So he may not be the next Bond girl, but Sam is making a huge impact on the franchise by becoming the next singer in a long line of legendary artists to sing the 007 theme. For Spectre, Sam has penned “Writing’s on the Wall,” described as a classic love song.
Sam wrote the ballad with Jimmy Naples, with whom he also wrote his amazing “Stay With Me.” This is going to be huge! We’ll hear the song on September 25, a month before Spectre premieres on October 26.
Sam excitedly tweeted the news on September 8, after trying to keep it under wraps since January 2015! “This is one of the highlights of my career,” he wrote. “I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song.”
We can’t wait to hear this one! And can’t wait to see Spectre; maybe with Sam making a special appearance?? HollywoodLifers, are you excited that Sam is singing the Bond theme?
