This breakup hurts. Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt have called it quits after 18 years together. The couple released a statement revealing their split. Get the details here.
Jon Hamm, 44, and Jennifer Westfeldt, 45, were one of those couples you expected to be together forever. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. The actors have split after 18 years in a relationship. The Mad Men star and Jennifer made the decision to end their relationship together, and there is no bad blood between them.
“With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history,” the couple said in a statement to PEOPLE. “We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward.”
Jon and Jennifer had been together 18 long years, but they were recently hit by rumors of trouble in their relationship. In April 2015, the couple slammed a report that they had split. However, in July 2015, another report circulated claiming Jon didn’t want to settle down and have kids with Jennifer, something that she really wanted to do.

They were last seen publicly together on July 22 at the after-party of Jon’s new series, Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp. Jon completed a 30-day rehab for alcohol abuse earlier in the year, right before Mad Men’s final season premiered in March 2015. He said Jennifer helped support him throughout his ordeal.
Jon and Jennifer began dating in 1997. They starred together in the 2011 movie Friends With Kids, alongside Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott and Megan Fox. Jennifer wrote and directed the movie. We’re sad to see Jon and Jennifer go their separate ways, but it must have been for the best.
