Jade and Tanner, Joshua and Tenley, Sam and Nick, and Cassandra and Justin headed to the ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ finale — but only one got engaged!
We started part two of the Bachelor In Paradise finale right where the dramatic part one ended — everyone was pretty upset and worried after seeing Kirk shockingly reveal his feelings for Carly had changed. But would one last overnight date for each couple prove they were meant to be?
Let’s just get one thing straight: Jade and Tanner are goals in every way. While everyone was wasn’t really sure about where their romance after paradise would go, Tanner was — and he told Jade he loved her. Yup, he dropped the L-bomb, and she replied with it back. Honestly, they seemed like such a natural couple!
As for the others, well, Samantha (as usual) didn’t say much and Justin felt like the luckiest guy alive taking her into the fantasy suite; Tenley was honest with Joshua about being nervous about the real world but they seemed really happy getting to know each other; and Cassandra decided to pass on the fantasy suite with Justin, because she was a mother and felt it was moving too fast and would just be inappropriate.
The Finale Rose
So, first was Justin and Cassandra. He told her she was beautiful in and out, and they both accepted each other’s roses. Then Nick told Samantha she took his breath away (in a really cheesy pick up line), and they accepted each other’s roses. She even told him he was her “prince charming.” Eh, whatever.
When it came to the Joshua and Tenley, she was torn over their long-distance love. She told him how amazing he was, but she knew how hard it would be — so with that, through tears, she did what she knew was right, and ended it. Yes, we’re wondering also why the heck Joshua can’t just move from IDAHO to San Diego. WTF is in Idaho?! Ugh, at least he was a complete gentleman about it.
And Then There Was Jade
Last but not least, Tanner met Jade at the beach for the final rose ceremony. Naturally, she gave him her rose after saying how much she loved about him, and how much she felt understood and worthy. (You are girl!) She obviously gave him her rose, and then it was his turn. And here’s his speech — oh and he totally got down on one knee!
The rest of the couples were watching from the ledge and it was absolutely SO sweet! And yes, the ring was Neil Lane. Oh yeah, he also gave her the final rose, and called the day “the happiest” of his life. Are you excited for Jade & Tanner? Are you surprised they got engaged? Let us know!
