Lindsay Arnold has been in the ‘DWTS’ troupe for the past four seasons, but for season 21, she’s back as a pro and we can’t wait to see her take the floor!
We can’t wait to see pro Lindsay Arnold coaching Army National Guard Specialist Alek Skarlatos for season 21 of Dancing With The Stars. The beautiful dancer just told HollywoodLife.com exclusively about how she keeps her makeup looking flawless and her diet and fitness tips for staying toned throughout the season!
Lindsay told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about her makeup routine and how she stays fresh under those harsh stage lights:
“I don’t do my makeup for the show — we have amazing professionals that do our makeup but they always put on a primer that makes it stay on. I will say we get our makeup done at least four times before the show. We get it done in the morning, we rehearse, we come back, and they wipe off our sweat and redo it. It’s not all perfect — we do get sweaty sometimes but they’re amazing at what they do. I rarely ever have serious problems, maybe just a few spots that they have to cover up.”
Lindsay recently partnered with CustomInk to surprise the Waller High School Dance team and teach them a routine! Lindsay said: “When CustomInk came to me and told me about their 15th anniversary plans and that they wanted to surprise some of their loyal customers with different celebrity type things, I was super excited. I grew up dancing and I danced all through high school, so when they asked me to come and teach the Waller Dance High School dance team, I was agreed immediately. This is an amazing way for them to give back to their customers, and it’s was a really awesome thing to be a part of.”
From the photos above, it looked like the girls had a great time with Lindsay!
Lindsay Arnold On ‘DWTS’ — New Pro Talks Diet Tips
Lindsay says: “I’m the worst on diet tips. I truly don’t really follow a diet plan because I know I wouldn’t stick to it. I’m just really bad at sticking to diets. But what I try to do is eat in portions. I don’t eat badly but I also don’t have a specific diet plan. I think sometimes we mindlessly eat because we think it’s good or we eat out of boredom. So, I just try to only eat when I’m hungry and when I’m not hungry anymore, stop. Don’t snack and don’t eat ice cream!
The bigger thing for me is exercise. Dancing is one of the most important exercise elements in my life, but I also really enjoy Pilates. I’ve been doing that for four years now, and it’s just completely changed my body. It’s helped with flexibility and it’s helped with injuries. Anytime I’ve ever had an injury, it’s really helped me get past them. Also, sometimes I’ll run but it’s hard because it kind of hurts my knees, and that’s not good for dancing.”
