With the guns come the…claws! ‘Mean Girls’ try to take control and wind up falling flat as the designers are forced to work together in yet another group challenge. Can you say DRAMA? Warning: spoilers ahead in our ‘Project Runway’ recap.

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn meet the designers on the runway with paintball guns, and you can tell the Project Runway challenge is going to come with a twist — and everyone is less than enthused to find out it’s another group challenge! Can you say too soon?

As for the groups, Candice picks Amanda over Ashley, even though when she worked with Ashley they worked so well together — Ashley definitely expected to be chosen by Candice, and seems pissed. As they continue to choose partners, Ashley is the last one waiting on the runway — even though she is such a strong competitor in the game! What’s going on? Even Heidi is surprised.

“I will see you on the battle field,” Tim says. It certainly feels like a fight, especially with the way the picking and choosing went down. The gals are against the guys, (and Merline). They’re playing “capture the fabric” — no fabric, no material for the competition!

Ashley turns out to be the secret weapon, as she used to play paintball when she was younger with her brother. They are dominating! Blake hid and wasn’t shot once — oh Blake. The material for their challenge is what they’re wearing. The captured fabrics are supplemental materials — each team is creating a six-look “mini collection” that must be cohesive. You’re “moving like a bunch of fashion designers,” Tim says to the guys team.

The girls don’t seem to be on the same page, and Ashley is overwhelmed — and I can’t say I blame her. Candice is trying to be the group leader, although no one wanted her to have the position. Tim calls the girls out, saying their looks are more like “an Easter egg festival,” and saying they haven’t worked together at all — he says they should be scared and something needs to happen. To quote Blake: “The girls team is a mess,” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Girl fight! Drama ensues over the scissors, while Ashley realizes she is getting the brunt of the blame — that’s not cool. So far the season has been pretty positive, but the claws totally came out this week in the group challenge. How will it go on the runway?!

Kelly Osbourne is the celeb guest this week. Edmond’s silhouette is AH-MAZING — and Kelly wants to take the dress right off the runway. I have to say I love Blake’s floral detailing throughout the collection — so cohesive and chic.

The judges make interesting faces as the gals send their Barney-inspired collection down the runway. “So you guys did not work well together,” Heidi says. The gals can’t even decide who the collection is designed for. Ashley opens up about her frustrations, but I’m upset she didn’t say that she tried to get them to stay on a cohesive page. Nina calls it “joyless” — I’m with ya there, Nina!

Kelly is super vocal about the collection — and how much she dislikes it. All of the girls say Ashley should go home — and Kelly calls it a “bitch fest” and the judges look shocked by the blame game on the runway.

Blake calls them “mean girls” and stands up for Ashley — could I love Blake even more?

Now, on to the winners. In all of Nina’s years, she is most impressed by the team work of the boys and Merline. In not-so-shocking news, Edmond is the winner — and he was the winner in my book, too! #Obsessed.

Amanda is out — and rightfully so. It was the same sad story each week on Project Runway, and whether she couldn’t get her head in the game or whether that’s really all she had to offer up, it still fell flat.
