The green guy is speaking out! After the shocking revelation that Kermit the Frog has already found new love just one month after splitting from Miss Piggy, he has now issued an official statement. Read what he had to say!
Kermit the Frog is denying rumors that he has a new girlfriend following his very public split from Miss Piggy. The internet was set ablaze on Sept. 1, when reports surfaced that Kermit was not only seeing a woman named Denise, an ABC marketing exec, but he was already calling her his girlfriend! Of course, this is Hollywood and we can’t believe everything we hear. Thus, Kermit has released a statement, clearing up his relationship status.
“Sheesh. I can’t believe I already have to do this again…” Kermit posted on Twitter on Sept. 1. “Here is the official statement on my relationship status:” he added, before posting a photo of the remarks.
“While I prefer to keep my personal life private, this is Hollywood, so who am I kidding? It is true that I am dating again. However, at this time no one woman– pig or otherwise– is my official ‘new girlfriend’ We are simply close friends.”
Hm, “close friends” sounds mighty suspicious. Just saying. Read the whole tweet below!
Immediately after Kermit’s split from Piggy was made public, he sat down for an intimate interview with Entertainment Tonight to explain what exactly lead to the shocking breakup. “It’s an interesting thing that happens sometimes,” Kermit said. “You’re with someone for years, and you suddenly discover that you have gone in two different directions. And when you’re a frog and a pig, those directions can be extreme.”
Well, whether or not Kermit has a full blown girlfriend already, he certainly seems to be doing his best to move on, and we wish both he and Miss Piggy the best during this trying time.
