The opening ceremony at the Venice Film Festival served up some amazing fashion, as both Elizabeth Banks and Diane Kruger wowed in dramatic gowns. From cutouts to capes, check them out and let us know which eveningwear trend you can’t get enough of.
Bring on the red carpet glamour! The Venice Film Festival kicked off on Sept. 2 at the premiere of Everest, where Diane Kruger, 39, and Elizabeth Banks, 41, stole the spotlight on the red carpet — in fact, it even looked like they color-coordinated, as they both dazzled in white gowns! While Diane opted for an embellished frock that featured a cape, Elizabeth gave a whole new meaning to bringing sexy back with the bare detailing.
Diane was pretty in Prada, looking like my version of a red carpet superhero, complete with a cape. Her gown fit her like a glove, while the cape added an ethereal vibe that was so high fashion — and the stylish actress pulled it off perfectly. Not only does she exude confidence and class on the red carpet, but she isn’t afraid to switch up her style and try new silhouettes — and I cannot wait to see what else she wears during the film festival!
The same could be said about Elizabeth Banks — in fact, her only red carpet rival is Effie Trinket, her character in The Hunger Games! While the actress prefers less drama and steers clear of costume-like looks, she does have an affinity for amazing high-fashion frocks — just like the one she showed off for the festival! The star looked amazing in a white Dolce & Gabbana gown, which featured an open back.
The back of both gowns proved to be just as glam as the front — and although they both wowed in white their looks had two totally different vibes! Do you have a favorite look? Let us know!
