Nicki Minaj is still fuming over Miley Cyrus’ comments to ‘The New York Times’ that she was whining about not being nominated for the ‘Video of the Year’ category. Even though Nicki called her out during the MTV VMAs we’ve learned that she’s not done with her!
Yikes! Things are getting worse between Miley Cyrus, 22 and Nicki Minaj. HollywoodLife.com has learned that Nicki is taking her “feud’ with Miley “very seriously.” For everyone who thinks their fight was totally fake during the MTV VMAs,
Our insider tells us that this fight wasn’t staged and it might not be the last time these ladies have a public confrontation. “[Nicki] is taking this feud with Miley very seriously,” our source says. “Miley loves to talk s**t and play games but to Nicki this isn’t a joke. Miley needs to watch what she says otherwise there will be hell to pay. If Miley keeps talking crap about her, Nicki will definitely confront her. If she runs into her at a party she will absolutely slap the taste out of her mouth. Nicki is hard and doesn’t like to be disrespected. Miley needs to take accountability for what she says and just apologize.” Our source also tells us that Nicki isn’t buying that Miley feels like she was misquoted: “She’s trying to blame the media saying her words got twisted but Nicki isn’t buying that. She thinks she should stop blaming others and watch what she says. Miley likes being outrageous and controversial but she needs to learn to not mess with someone like Nicki.”
If you want a reminder of what Miley told The New York Times about Nicki complaining about not being nominated for the Video of the Year category, here’s a refresher: “I didn’t follow it. You know what I always say? Not that this is jealousy, but jealousy does the opposite of what you want it to — that’s a yoga mantra. People forget that the choices that they make and how they treat people in life affect you in a really big way. If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement. But I don’t respect your statement because of the anger that came with it.”
Miley also said: “And it’s not anger like, ‘Guys, I’m frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.’ You made it about you. Not to sound like a bitch, but that’s like, ‘Eh, I didn’t get my V.M.A.’ If you want to make it about race, there’s a way you could do that. But don’t make it just about yourself. Say: ‘This is the reason why I think it’s important to be nominated. There’s girls everywhere with this body type.’
But what we think really pushed Nicki over the edge is when Miley basically said that the rapper isn’t a very “kind” person. “What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It’s not very polite. I think there’s a way you speak to people with openness and love. You don’t have to start this pop star against pop star war. It became Nicki Minaj and Taylor in a fight, so now the story isn’t even on what you wanted it to be about. Now you’ve just given E! News “Catfight! Taylor and Nicki Go at It. I know you can make it seem like, Oh I just don’t understand because I’m a white pop star. I know the statistics. I know what’s going on in the world. But to be honest, I don’t think MTV did that on purpose.”
