Kermit the Frog spent nearly 40 years with Miss Piggy, but it took him less than a month for him to find a new squeeze! The ‘Muppets’ star is dating an ABC marketing exec named Denise and he’s reportedly already calling her his ‘girlfriend!’
Huh. Frogs aren’t really known for their speed, but Kermit the Frog has already moved on after his break-up with Miss Piggy! Yikes — that was fast! Piggy and Kermit were together for 39 years, but it only took him four weeks to reportedly start calling his new love interest, Denise, his girlfriend!
Kermit’s relationship with Denise is reportedly getting serious, reports People. As Kermit works with Miss Piggy on her late-night talk show, Up Late with Miss Piggy, Denise, reportedly the head of marketing at ABC, has allegedly been seen hanging out during shootings. “She’s always stopping by the set of Up Late,” a source told People.
It seems this new romance is not just a rebound (or would that be a hop?) for Kermit, who announced his break-up with Miss Piggy in July after four decades together. Kermit already “calls her his girlfriend,” the source tells People. Wow! So soon?!
Kermit and Miss Piggy announced the end of one of Hollywood’s longest relationships during a Television Critics Association event on Aug. 4. The couple said that after “considerable squabbling,” they made the “difficult” decision to split up. So sad! In his first interview since the break-up, Kermit said that he and Piggy simply went in “two different directions.”
Clearly, Kermit’s direction took him into the arms of Denise. Will their love last as long as Kermit and Miss Piggy’s relationship? We’ll have to watch when The Muppets premiers on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
Like Kermit sings, it’s not easy being green and the Muppets Most Wanted start might have felt green with jealousy over his ex. Miss Piggy was seen in an Aug. 31 Instagram picture with The Hunger Games star, Liam Hemsworth. And Liam was being a huge flirt! “Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world,” Liam wrote, adding “Kermit, #SorryNotSorry.” While Kermit seems like he’s getting serious with Denise, Piggy might have bagged her one of Hollywood’s hottest hunks!
What do you think about Kermit reportedly calling Denise his girlfriend, HollywoodLifers? Do you think it’s too soon?
