Miley Cyrus may have acted totally cool after Nicki Minaj called her out on the VMA stage, but the host was actually super ‘pissed’ about the whole diss, according to a new report!
While many believed that Nicki Minaj, 32, dissing Miley Cyrus, 22, on stage after accepting her award at the MTV Video Music Awards was staged, a new report claims the host was actually distraught after the verbal attack. Apparently, Miley stormed off stage after Nicki called her a “b*tch” in front of everyone on August 30 — find out more!
“Miley was pissed. She stormed backstage cursing and yelling about it as she headed toward her dressing room,” an insider told E! News after the intense moment. In case you missed it, Nicki attacked Miley during her acceptance speech for Best Hip Hop Video — she said, “Back to this b*tch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley what’s good?”
When the camera cut to Miley, she kept her cool and said, “We all do interviews. We all know how they manipulate s–t. Congratuf–kinglations, Nicki.” The interview Miley was referring to was in a recent New York Times article in which Miley weighed in about the Nicki vs. Taylow Swift feud (you know, when Nicki threw shade at Tay for being nominated for Video Of The Year). Miley said she didn’t follow the feud because she believed Nicki attacked out of “anger.”
“And it’s not anger like, ‘Guys, I’m frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.’ You made it about you,” Miley explained in the interview. “Not to sound like a bitch, but that’s like, ‘Eh, I didn’t get my VMA’…If you want to make it about race, there’s a way you could do that. But don’t make it just about yourself. Say: ‘This is the reason why I think it’s important to be nominated. There’s girls everywhere with this body type. What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It’s not very polite,” she said.
