Yes, yes, yes! Taylor and her squad — including Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Hailee Steinfeld, and more — accepted the Video Of The Year award together, and even though it was crowded it was one heck of a “Bad Blood” reunion. Thankfully, Taylor was more than prepared to accept the colorful moon man!
“First, I want to thank Kendrick Lamar, I wish he was here, but he’s off in Europe on tour being amazing,” Taylor started, honoring her collaborator. “But he’s such a positive influence in my life, and I wanted to thank him first.”
Then, Taylor turned the attention to her squad. “This video was such a collaborative effort. These women helped create their parts, helped write their roles, and decided what they wanted to be,” she shared. “There are two women in the video that I’ve named cats after.” In case you have been living under a rock, she was of course reference Ellen Pompeo and Mariska Hargitay, aka Meredith and Olivia!
But, it didn’t end there. Last but not least, Taylor made sure to thank the most important people in her life: her fans!
“To the fans, the fact that you would vote and give us this bonding experience that we will have forever, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she said, clutching her moon man. “In 2015 we live in a world where boys can play princesses and girls can play soldiers.”
