Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ tour is only halfway over, and it’s already been SO amazing. The singer has made it her mission to welcome some of the BIGGEST stars onstage with her — re-live some of her best concert surprises here!
The squad is getting more powerful by the day! Taylor Swift, 25, closed out her five Los Angeles shows by surprising the sold-out crowd with performances by Justin Timberlake and Selena Gomez on Aug. 25 — but that’s not the first time she’s had epic onstage collaborations this tour. Click to check out her best 1989 guests in the gallery!
Selena and Justin weren’t the only great surprises Taylor had for Los Angeles! That night, she also sang “Smelly Cat” with Lisa Kudrow, who channeled her Friends character Phoebe Buffay for the rendition. And those T. Swift fans who know ’90s music were THRILLED when Alanis Morrissette came out to belt her hit “You Oughta Know” at another Los Angeles show. PERFECTION.
L.A. didn’t get ALL the good surprises, though! When the “Bad Blood” singer performed at MetLife Stadium in July, she brought out her longtime friend and New Jersey native, Nick Jonas, 22, and the crowd went absolutely nuts when they teamed up to sing his hit “Jealous.” Tay also showed some love for rap music by performing “Trap Queen” with Fetty Wap in Seattle, and supported one of her besties, Lorde, by inviting her out to sing “Royals” in Washington D.C.
And of COURSE we can’t forget the 25-year-old’s girl power weekend! She made Fifth Harmony’s ultimate dream come true when she welcomed them to Santa Clara, Calif. to perform their summer single “Worth It.” Taylor got so into it, she even borrowed one of the girl group’s amazing outfits for the set! The next night, she had Little Mix join her for a rendition of “Black Magic.” SO amazing!
The guests weren’t only musical, either. Taylor showed love for her friends not in the business by inviting some of them to strut the runway while she performed her hit “Style” throughout the tour. So far, she’s had supermodels, Julia Roberts, Kobe Bryant and so many more make the walk, but the most memorable HAS to be Ellen DeGeneres, who showed up onstage in a sparkling jumpsuit and tutu. Freakin’ hilarious!
