Katy Perry headed to NYC for a Broadway show and we’re not sure if she was the one wearing the costume or not! We love Katy, and we usually love her quirky outfits, but this may be too much — do you agree? VOTE.
Katy Perry, 30, attended the musical, Finding Neverland on Broadway at The Lunt-Fontanne Theater on August 26 in NYC. We love when Katy dresses up in cool, funky clothes, but we have to admit, this look is definitely not our favorite. What do you guys think — do you love or loathe this look? VOTE.
Katy’s dress was a bit confusing. We know she loves maxi dresses, and that is totally fine — we think they’re trendy and we love her past maxi dresses. This dress, though, was a bit too much for us.
Let’s start with the bodice, because that is the most important part of this dress. Not only was the black bra quite tiny, showing off massive cleavage, there was also a halter neck, a piece of crochet fabric, and also suede stripes. While all of this is going on, gigantic multicolored tassels are outlining the entire thing, making this look very Bollywood-esque.
What added to the chaos, was the straight, flowy, shapeless skirt of the dress — it didn’t match with anything.
Aside from the dress, two huge silver cuffs covered each wrist, while bedazzled white statement earrings and a nose ring completed her look. She also debuted a new ombre hairdo and maybe we would have liked it if she showed it off with a different outfit.
