She’s not gone forever! Jessica Lange may have said she was ‘done’ with ‘American Horror Story’ after ‘Freak Show,’ but Ryan Murphy admits that ‘she’ll be back.’ We can all start freaking out… NOW!
Never say never in the world of American Horror Story. Jessica Lange, 66, may have opted out of being the leading lady in American Horror Story: Hotel, but she’s not done with the series for good. Ryan Murphy, 49, reveals in a new interview that he’s been talking to Jessica about working on a deal to bring her back and promises “she’s not gone forever.” Gasp!
“I’ve been talking to her,” Ryan told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s always possible. I’m trying to deal with her play schedule. Jessica is always about the character. She’ll be back — she’s not gone forever. But that’s the fun and fresh thing about the show: sometimes somebody has to go away before you realize how much you miss them. She wants to come back we just have to come up with something.”
Jessica will be starring in Broadway’s spring 2016 revival of Long Day’s Journey Into Night. She’s got a few more months until she becomes really busy with Broadway, so she could easily swing by Los Angeles for a guest appearance on Hotel.
Jessica could play a new guest at the Hotel Cortez, or she could play her character from season one’s Murder House, Constance. After all, the show is set in modern day Los Angeles around five years after the first season. The outlet confirmed that Hotel would featuring the Murder House in one episode, and Constance could still be living next door!
If Jessica did return this season, she would be seeing some new faces on the set. Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Naomi Campbell, Max Greenfield and more will be starring alongside returning cast members Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Finn Wittrock.
American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Oct. 7 on FX.
