Horrifically, a gunman shot and killed WDBJ TV news reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward while they were live on air doing a report. Here are photos from the scene as well as the gunman and the two tragic victims.
Very early on Aug. 26, WDBJ reporter Alison Parker, 24, was conducting an interview live on air in Moneta, Virginia, while her cameraman, Adam Ward, 27, filmed. Suddenly, a shooter approached and began to fire, killing both Alison and Adam. Horrifyingly, the incident was caught on Adam’s still-rolling camera. Images from the devastating incident are beginning to emerge and we have compiled them here, along with images of the victims and the shooter. Some of the images are graphic.
A manhunt is underway for the shooter, whose identity has not yet been released to the public, however, he is believed to be a disgruntled employee of the network, who may have been fired six or seven times, according to Virginia Governor, Terry McAuliffe.
A third victim, Vicki Gardner, was being interviewed and is currently undergoing surgery. Her condition is unknown at this time.
