So sad. Alison Parker, the reporter who was shot and killed on live television on Aug. 26, has been described as a ‘radiant woman’ who had just moved in with her boyfriend.

Alison Parker, 24, was tragically murdered on air, along with cameraman Adam Ward, 27, shortly before 6am on Wednesday morning, Aug. 26. Alison had just moved in with her boyfriend, news anchor Chris Hurst, and after hearing of her horrific death he revealed on Twitter that they were “very much in love.” Absolutely heartbreaking.

Not only was she a young, vibrant woman, Alison was an incredible reporter. In early Feb. 2015, she recorded a “7 Fun Facts” video for WDBJ7, the network she was reporting for when she was shot and killed live on air. In the video, Alison happily recalls her first trip to the Grand Canyon, what she called the “most thrilling thing” she’s ever done. She also describes her favorite hobby, white water rafting, which is something she enjoyed doing with her family in the summertime.

Unfortunately, the video can not be embedded, but you can watch it on WDBJ7 by clicking here. Jeffrey Marks, the general manager for the station, described Alison and Adam as “special people” who did “great work” for their network every single day.

Alison was working alongside cameraman Adam Ward when the were gunned down by a man wearing all black on live television. Alison’s boyfriend, Chris, revealed on Twitter that they worked together frequently, and that Alison and Adam were “a team.” Chris also shared the below photo of himself and Alison, sharing that they were “very much in love” and had recently started their lives together as a couple.

Sadly, Alison had just graduated from James Madison University in 2012, according to CNN‘s live broadcast. Our thoughts are with both Alison and Adam’s families during this extremely difficult time.
