Taylor Swift is gearing up for the Video Music Awards, which means she’s gotta be ready to sing along to every other artists’ performance! HollywoodLife has learned EXCLUSIVELY that, in true Taylor fashion, she’s been working hard to memorize the songs!
Haven’t you ever listened to a song on repeat in order to learn the lyrics and show off in front of your friends? (Fergie‘s rap verse in “Glamorous” comes to mind.) Well Taylor Swift feels us! Ahead of this year’s Video Music Awards, going down on Aug. 30, the 25-year-old is working to uphold her reputation as the most famous attendee who will sing along to every other performance at the show. Sources have revealed to us EXCLUSIVELY that Taylor was actually given the heads up on who’ll perform a while back!
We still barely know any of the artists who will perform on MTV’s VMAs, but Taylor, obviously, is not a mere mortal like us! “Taylor has been in the know about VMA plans for a long time,” a source revealed to us EXCLUSIVELY. “She knows the show’s performers and has learned all their songs so she can sing along and dance like she usually does at most awards shows she attends.”
While the source wouldn’t spill who exactly Taylor has been studying, they did drop one major hint! “[Taylor] is eager to sing along with Selena [Gomez]‘s new song,” they added. Well, major red flag alert!
When she’s not grooving along in the audience during the big show, Taylor will be having a pretty eventful evening herself. During the show, she plans to drop the music video for her upcoming single, “Wildest Dreams,” the latest from her smash hit album 1989.
Do you think it’s endearing that Taylor studies so she can be prepared for other artists’ performances? Or is it just extremely annoying?
