This is not good. ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star Kristen Taekman’s husband, Josh Taekman, has now admitted to his Ashley Madison account and released a statement in response.
Josh Taekman, 46, originally denied having created an Ashley Madison account, when information from the cheating website leaked, alleging that Josh was a paid subscriber. However, very early on Aug. 25, the husband to Real Housewives of New York star Kristen Taekman, 38, issued a statement, coming clean about his use of the affair-enabling site. See what he had to say!
“I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family,” Josh said in a statement. “We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives.”
Hm, an account with friends? Okay, well, that’s one way to spin this. Josh allegedly signed up for the site back in June, 2011, according to the Daily Mail, and has since gone through with 62 transactions, totaling thousands of dollars spent. The website is free to sign up for, however, you must buy credits in order to message others. Oh, and there’s a money back guarantee if you don’t have an affair within the first three months of use.
Josh, who owns his own energy drink company, has appeared alongside Kristen on RHONY for two seasons now, the first of which heavily featured the couple’s marital problems. They’ve been married since 2004 and have two children together, Cassius and Kingsley.
Kristen has yet to speak out on the issue, however, just a few months ago back in May, the former model dropped by the HollywoodLife podcast to chat with us about the great place she and Josh were in following their season one rough patch. “We just had a lot of back and forth and by watching [the show], we were like, ‘we gotta slow down and take more time for each other,’” she said. So sad. We’re sending the Taekman family well wishes during this difficult time.
Do you guys think Josh was actually using the website? Or was it just a goof “with friends”?
