Ugh, major face-palm. Fans are not happy about Howie Mandel’s insensitive comment about bulimia on the Aug. 25 episode of ‘AGT.’ The judge has since apologized for causing a strong reaction in fans, but will he be forgiven? See everything that went down here!
Howie Mandel, 59, put his foot in his mouth during Aug. 25’s America’s Got Talent episode, when he said that a contestant known as the “Professional Regurgitator” makes “bulimia entertaining.” Naturally, fans are freaking out over Howie’s remark, slamming the judge for being insensitive. Clearly, Howie quickly realized his mistake, as he took to Twitter to apologize!
Yikes. So here’s what happened — Stevie Starr, AKA the professional regurgitator, swallowed Heidi Klum‘s ring, a lock and a key, and when he brought them back up, they were all magically attached together. Amazing right? Well, that’s when Howard says, “This will probably come out wrong, but you sir, make bulimia entertaining.” Well, looks like Howard called that one. Here’s how fans reacted on Twitter. (Watch the video below)
Did @howiemandel really just say, “you make bulimia look entertaining?” Sorry but jokes about eating disorders should never be made.

Since the comment was made, Howie took to Twitter to apologize.
I am NOT perfect. I make mistakes. I sincerely apologize to everyone who was offended.

Brad Lamm, founder of Breathe Life Healing Centers, who was deeply offended by Howie’s remarks and spoke out to HollywoodLife.com: “With more than 70% of all Americans struggling with some sort of food problem it’s really not a laughing matter. Eating disorder treatment should be our top healthcare priority considering we are in the midst of an epidemic.”
Howie also apologized on live TV for the comment. “I just wanna take a second just to apologize. I made a comment earlier, it’s live television, I wasn’t thinking,” he said. “I made light of bulimia, which is a very serious eating disorder and mental health issue. I deal with mental health all the time, and I did something stupid. I should never make light of it. I apologize to anybody that was offended. I’m not perfect, I make mistakes.”
