One Direction made their first appearance at their Chicago concert on Aug. 23 since their reported break was announced. The boys performed to a sold out audience and were as energetic as ever, despite the game-changing news. Check out the pics!
The boys of One Direction put on a big smile for their fans at their Aug. 23 Chicago concert at Soldier Field, their first concert since news broke they would be taking a break of “at least a year” to pursue other opportunities. However, the boys performed as if nothing had changed in front of thousands of Directioners. Don’t you just love them?
This is something to think (and cry) about: there are only a few months of concerts left before the boys of One Direction go on their break. The band made their first appearance at their Chicago concert after an announcement was made that they would not be going on tour to support their fifth album.
The boys rocked out on stage to their biggest hits in all-black outfits, and they were more adorable than ever. Harry Styles, 21, reportedly gave a shoutout to a young fan who was turning 10, according to Daily Mail. “Ten, it’s a big age. You’ll blink and you’ll be 20 – it goes fast!” he said.
The decision to take a break was mutual between all four boys. “They fully deserve to have at least a year to work on their own projects,” The Sun reported. “There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 per cent behind the decision.”
HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that Louis would be focusing on raising his baby with Briana Jungwirth, 22, during 1D’s downtime. However, this is not the end of One Direction. “It is definitely not a split, and they fully intend to get back together at some time in the future” the source continued. “But for now it is the end and they go out on top as the world’s most popular music act.”
HollywoodLifers, are you devastated that One Direction is taking a break? How long do you think they’ll be apart? Let us know!
