Eeeek! Things got a little bit out of control when Fetty Wap performed at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival in Long Island on Aug. 23, and when he tried to hype the audience up by jumping into the crowd, two fans were injured!
Fetty Wap, 25, got super into his performance at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival on Aug. 23, and two of his fans in the front of the crowd suffered the consequences. The rapper hopped off the stage in the middle of one of his songs, and two girls had to be nursed by paramedics backstage following a mishap during the spur-of-the-moment jump.
Although the “Trap Queen” singer was attempting to get as close to the audience as possible, a steel fence stood in between him and the crowd, and the girls’ legs appeared to get trapped underneath the contraption. It didn’t help that the crowd began to push forward to try and get closer, and the chaos went on for about two minutes.
Luckily, both girls wound up being okay. They were both treated behind the stage after the incident by paramedics — one had her leg wrapped up and the other was given some ice for her leg injury. Both of their parents were called. After apologizing to the crowd for letting things get so out of control, Fetty continued with his show.
Nicki Minaj & Justin Bieber At Billboard Hot 100 Fest
Fetty’s performance wasn’t the only one that had people buzzing after the music festival, though! Nicki Minaj, 32, also took the stage, and besides just killing it with her hits, she also totally shocked the crowd in a majorly see-through ensemble. She also, unfortunately, dealt with some technical difficulties during her set, during which she even stormed off the stage NOT looking happy. Uh-oh!
Justin Bieber 21, was also at the concert, rocking out to some of his biggest hits like “Boyfriend” and “As Long As You Love Me,” while also teaming up with Skrillex for a rendition of their hit, “Where Are U Now.” We love seeing the Biebs back on stage again — and in just FOUR more days we get to finally hear his new song “What Do You Mean?” Yay!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Fetty should jump off the stage during his performances? Or is it too unsafe?
