Avril Lavigne has a message for Taylor Swift: when you pass judgments on others, it says more about you than it does about them! After Taylor liked a post on social media dissing Avril’s fan interactions, Avril spoke out, slamming Taylor on Twitter!
Avril Lavigne, 30, wasted no time standing up for herself when Taylor Swift, 25, threw some social media shade. Here’s what went down: Taylor liked a post on Tumblr, which compared her interactions to other artists’ interactions with fans. A collage of photos showed Taylor kissing and hugging her fans, contrasted against the likes of Avril, Britney Spears and others, standing awkwardly and forced with fans. On Aug. 23, Avril took to Twitter to admonish T Swift for passing judgments! Check out what she had to say!
“Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are,” Avril Tweeted. “We all Love our fans,” she added, posting a link to the picture.
“This is most celebs with fans,” the caption reads, setting up the comparison. Shown in the collage, Brit Brit stands about six inches from a young man, both of whom hold their hands against their bodies as if their lives depended on it. Similarly, Katy Perry poses with a fan, putting her hands on his shoulders, while making sure to maintain a solid foot of space between them.
Equally unenthused, Kanye West found himself in a selfie with two fans, but of course, he could not be bothered to look at the camera, nor to stop pouting for a moment. Finally, we get to Avril, who stands with her hands in her pockets as a fan stands ten inches from her. The two do, admittedly, look pretty uncomfortable, but as Avril wants us to remember, judging others is counterproductive!

Do you think Taylor was being judgmental when she liked the photo? Or was she just having some fun?
