Oh boy. Wiz Khalifa claimed that he was arrested for refusing to get off of his hoverboard at LAX Airport on Aug. 22. The rapper shared shocking video footage of himself being aggressively handcuffed by officers — watch it here.
Wiz Khalifa, 27, was trying to embrace future technology by riding around on a hoverboard throughout LAX Airport on Aug. 22. However, the “See You Again” rapper ended up being cuffed by Customs and Border Patrol officers, for what he claims to be his refusal to get off the hands-free scooter. Wiz took to social media to address the shocking incident.
This is certainly an interesting thing to be arrested for, and Wiz posted a couple videos before he was detained. The first one shows him being confronted by cops over his hoverboard, and he tells them “they can’t do nothing.” A second video — that is way more aggressive — shows the officers surrounding him on the ground telling him to stop resisting. Wiz is heard saying, “I’m not resisting” while he’s being handcuffed.

Yikes. The father of 2-year-old Sebastian also went off in a series of heated Tweets addressing the incident. “Haven’t been slammed and cuffed in a while. That was fun,” he wrote, before addressing his hoverboard. “What’s even funnier than them not bein able to do s–t is they’ll be riding them soon as well. Maybe ones I design,” he wrote, along with, “I stand for our generation and our generation is gonna be riding hover boards so if you don’t like it eat a d–k!”
This isn’t the first time Wiz has had a run-in with airport authorities. The rapper was busted for marijuana at El Paso, Texas airport in May 2014, and took a selfie from jail following the incident.
