Watch out, Taylor Swift — there might be a diss track headed your way! Taylor’s nemesis Katy Perry has reportedly recorded a new song called ‘Crocodile Tears,’ which puts her former friend on blast! Oh boy…
Taylor Swift, 25, better call up her squad ASAP, because she may need some support on this one. Katy Perry, 30, reportedly enlisted the help of her DJ pal Diplo, 36, to create an epic new track called “Crocodile Tears,” that sheds light on her side of the story in her nasty feud with the 1989 star! Find out all the details.
Will this feud ever end? Taylor and Diplo recorded the song together over — you guessed it — their “joint hatred” of Taylor, according to The Sun. “Katy knew Diplo would be just the man to produce “Crocodile Tears” for her and has now registered it,” a source told the outlet. “So far she’s been very restrained with what she’s said about Taylor in public but is now ready to put her side across via the song – which is all about being fake.”
Wow. If this is true, it sure sounds intense! Katy has yet to respond to Taylor’s song “Bad Blood,” which Taylor appeared to have written about her bad blood with the “Roar” singer, as it’s all about being betrayed by a friend. HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that Katy is using the song as payback for “Bad Blood.” As for when we can expect to hear the song, we’re hoping soon! “It isn’t yet known whether it would be released as a one-off or as part of Katy’s fourth album, but she is keen for fans to hear it,” the source also told The Sun.
So why all this bad blood between the pop princesses? Taylor recently opened up to Vanity Fair about friendships that have fallen apart, and while she didn’t call out Katy specifically, many fans believed she was talking about her.
“I’ve trusted people before in friendships or relationships and have felt betrayed,” Taylor said in her interview. “If you betray your friend, if you will talk about them badly behind their back, if you will try to humiliate them or talk down to them, I have no interest in having a person like that in my life.”
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Katy is really writing a diss track? Whose side are you on? Let us know!
