Rita Ora is a hair chameleon. The singer goes from long to short styles and blonde to blue, to full rainbow colors faster than we can keep up with — and she somehow looks good in them all! Get the inside scoop on her latest pink and purple ombré.
Rita Ora, 24, first showed off her blonde to pale pink ombré at the Teen Choice Awards. Proving that her new color wasn’t just a wig, the “Body On Me” singer was still rocking the cotton candy hue on August 20th, but this time with a violet twist. Rita’s go-to stylist Chris Appleton created what he calls her “raspberry ripple” shade. Find out how you can get the temporary look, too!
“Sorbet colors are fun, especially when there’s no commitment,” Chris said of Rita’s new pink and purple combo. “The key is to keep them glossy and shiny looking.”
In order to achieve soft shiny hair, before adding color, Chris prepped Rita’s hair with Fudge Urban Miracle Ends from mid-length to ends before blowing her hair out straight. For Rita’s pink shade, Chris used Fudge Urban Hair Chalk in Festival Pink from her mid-lengths to her ends and feathered in Fudge Urban Hair Chalk in Pumped-Up Purple, drawing it on darker towards the ends. To hold the style (and color) in place, finish with Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry & Vanilla Hairspray.
If you don’t have blonde hair like Rita’s, try using the color on lighter ombré ends only. Or use the Fudge Urban Hair Chalk in Iced White first, to help the pink and purple colors show up better.
Rita Ora’s Pink Hair Makeover — Copy Her Pastel Ombré Style
Rita’s makeup stuck with the pastel theme. Jo Baker went with a shimmery lavender eyeshadow to match the ends of her hair, and pretty peachy nude shade for her lips.
What do you think of Rita’s “raspberry ripple” hair, HollywoodLifers? Would you try it out?
