Michael Clifford, 19, showed how brave he is by telling a sold out crowd filled with admirers of his band, 5 Seconds of Summer, that he was working on his mental health. A video from the show features Michael stepping up to his mic and telling the fans that he “fixing some problems” with his mental health, to which the crowd responded in screams of support. So sweet.
The best way to fix something is to confront it straight on, and that’s exactly what Aussie guitarist Michael Clifford did during a live show on Wednesday night, Aug. 19 while performing with 5SOS. Speaking openly from his heart, Michael told tens of thousands of fans that he was having some issues with his mental health… but also told them that he was working on it.
Michael’s band members quietly listened as he told the crowd about how he was “fixing some problems” in his life, and then immediately began to rock out with him once he was ready to play another song. Talk about being a supportive group of friends!
