With so many successful actresses this year, it’s almost impossible determine who makes more than who! Luckily, ‘Forbes’ has given us the answer by releasing their list of highest paid actresses — and Jennifer Lawrence came out on top! See who else wound up in the Top 10.
Thanks to the success of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1, which came out at the end of 2014, Jennifer Lawrence, 25, raked in the BIG bucks this year! She may not have been nominated for an Oscar in 2015, but J.Law was still the year’s highest paid actress…and she won by a landslide. See which other fabulous ladies made the list!
The 25-year-old made a whopping $52 million this year — that’s $16 MILLION more than Scarlett Johansson, 30, who took in $35 million, also thanks to a big franchise. ScarJo had a big role in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, and, not surprisingly, the film was super successful.
Melissa McCarthy and Bingbing Fan came in 3rd and 4th, respectively, followed by newly-married Jennifer Aniston, who made $16.5 million. Besides her big films Cake and Horrible Bosses 2, Jen also has big endorsement deals with Aveeno and SmartWater — no wonder she had no trouble affording that private jet she and Justin Theroux took to Bora Bora for their honeymoon!
Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon and Anne Hathaway came next on the list, bringing in $16 million, $15 million, $15 million and $12 million, respectively. These ladies have all been in the game for quite some time, so even if they didn’t have any HUGE projects this year (although Reese WAS nominated for all sorts of awards for Wild!), they’re certainly NEVER struggling.
Rounding off the top 10 is Kristen Stewart, who’s proven she can still stand successful even after the end of The Twilight Saga. She made $12 million thanks to roles in films like Still Alice, Anesthesia and American Ultra.
HollywoodLifers, Are you surprised by anyone on the list? Did you expect that Jennifer was highest paid?
