Caitlyn Jenner may be going to jail and that has her absolutely terrified! The ‘I Am Cait’ star is more afraid of being locked up than she was when she came out — and HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE on what she’d do to stay out of the slammer!
Things are getting scary for Caitlyn Jenner. The 65-year-old star of I Am Cait was found at fault for the Feb. car crash that left one person dead. Caitlyn is looking at some possible jail time and HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that she’s more afraid of prison than she ever was while undergoing her transition.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department published a 161-page report that detailed the Feb. 7 accident involving Caitlyn and former actress, Kim Howe. The report found Caitlyn was at fault for violating the vehicular manslaughter law, and that could result in a year in prison!
“Caitlyn is horrified to go to jail, even more than transitioning,” a source close to the I Am Cait star EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “[Caitlyn] wants to make sure that she has the best legal team to avoid any jail time.”
It took courage for Caitlyn to go forward with revealing her true self and accepting the responsibilities involved with her transition. She may have to accept another kind of responsibilities if she’s found guilty of manslaughter. But, instead of jail time, Caitlyn would “do community service [or] pay fines but jail is not something she wants to do at all – even for a day!” the source tells HollywoodLife.com.
Caitlyn wasn’t driving faster than the speed limit, but according to the report, she was going faster than the traffic conditions at the time. After the fatal accident, Caitlyn released a statement that said her “heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all those where were involved in this terrible accident.”
That accident has haunted Caitlyn, as another insider EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com that “she’s tried so hard to block it from her mind, yet somehow, it keeps coming back.” With the L.A. Sheriff’s report finding her at fault, Caitlyn is worried about what might happen. “If the absolute worse happened,” the insider added, “she could do time in jail and that scares her — tremendously.”
Do you think Caitlyn will serve jail time, HollywoodLifers? Do you think she should?
